The City of Peru was awarded a matching funds grant from the Illinois Department of Transportion EDP program. This grant will be used in the construction of Master Builder Way, and resurface and existing roadway, Industrial Drive Boulevard to serve the newly constructed GAF manufacturing facility. Project cost is $4.2 million with the city receiving $1.5 million (matching funds) of EDP funding provided through IDOT.
The purpose of the EDP grant is to provide state assistance for roadway improvements or new construction that are necessary for access to new or expanding industrial, manufacturing or distribution type companies.
