The new playground at Sunset Park is now complete!!
As part of approximatley $150,000 in upgrades, the city utilized a $43,000.00 grant from GameTime through a program developed in partnership with Illinois Parks and Recreation Association.
The new equipment was chosen with ages 5 to 12 in mind. The new swings are similar to the ones just put in Washington Park. There is a rock climber, a tube kids go through to go down a slide, and a few climbers as well.
The playground apparatus down the hill was not a part of this project.
Sunset Park is located at the corner of 2nd and Henry Streets.
